Heidelberg (Bestmalz)
$3.99 kg
Named after the town that Best Malt is located, Heidelberg is made using special, two-row barley variety that tends to create less color during the malting process.
Heidelberg is suited particularly to pale beers. It has a slightly lower protein content than a classic Pilsen Malt, but with a high extract value and very high enzyme activity.
Due to its high enzyme activity Heidelberg also works very well in beers with high levels of unmalted adjuncts, such as Hazy IPAs.
Heidelberg complies with the purity guidelines of the German Reinheitsgebot.
